I am back so lets go over the next thing with that shoe.
Your bending left sided, Which should mean your left handed (I am) if your a righty-move the shoe to the other side
Your right hand needs to PULL across and OUT. Watch my right hand and you see i hold the shoe and rip that hand across my body as i am shoving down- Opposing forces are needed to open it. You could JUST push or JUST pull, but that short changes your power.
When you grip the horn, rotate your hands as you push/pull. By turning your hands, your increasing the torque on the shoe. Through time and effort, you will learn the shortest path through a horseshoe is a diagnal line. IN the future this will make more sense.
Stay with it. I know it hurts.
For your crush down, use more body on it. and lever the wrist instead of just pushing down. You will be much more successful
I think it makes sense, I'll just have to play with it and go back and watch vids again. Yes, I'm a lefty also. As for rotating the hands, would the right wrist go into flexion and the left into extension? Or putting it another way, right would be supination and left would be pronation? It does hurt and I have a nice bruise, but I didn't want to get in trouble for using padding, just kidding. I'll keep working ISO's and I have some people looking for worn shoes for me. Plus the new row/dip program should help add some strength. Thanks so much for the tips. It's like having my own coach.
